I've been trying to convert a .mp4 file containing a HEVC encoded video and AAC encoded audio into a .mkv container with ffmpeg. However, when I try to play the resulting file in VLC it stutters. Other .mkv's containing a HEVC video play totally fine (some with much higher bitrates and/or resolution).
The ffmpeg command I used to convert:
ffmpeg -y -i video.mp4 -map 0:0 -map 0:1 -c copy video.mkv
edit: I should mention that in ffplay it plays fine, it's just VLC and just this particular video.
