I gather it's a known thing that Quicktime Player Version 10.4 on El Capitan won't play mp4/ hvc1 codec videos. I haven't been able to do anything with the file using my usual tricks (VLC, iFFMPEGapp/settings, Handbrake etc.)
Can anyone suggest a terminal FFMPEG command to covert to something playable? I have ffmpeg version 4.1.1
