I have a directory name in which I use the em dash: "\\NetworkComputer\d\1 – Initial\video.avi"

ffmpeg is not finding the file because for the em dash . If I remove the em dash, or replace it with a regular dash ffmpeg works.

How can I get ffmpeg to find the file when there is a long em dash in the directory name?

PS. it looks like python is interpreting the em dash as: ΓÇô
