I am converting a bunch of video recorded with iPad (mov format) into mp4 with ffmpeg (version: ffmpeg version 4.2.1-0york0~18.04.1) under Linux Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.

This is the code template I am using

ffmpeg -v warning -hide_banner -stats \
       -threads 6 -i input.mov \
-metadata title="Title of the video" \
       -metadata artist="Me" \
-metadata comment="Video recorded with iPad" \
       -c:v libx264 -preset slow -tune film -crf 28 \
       -c:a libfdk_aac -ab 120k -ac 1 -ar 32000 \

ffmpeg does a great job in converting and recoding these files, however when I inspect the files they don't have the metadata. I tried to read metadata with various software (VNC, mediainfo, exiftool, etc). But it seems the processed files do not contain any metadata.

I can't see what's the problem since it seems this is the way to write metadata.
