I have video recorded on a Sony DCR HC-20 Mini DV camcorder which I would like to transfer to my hard drive. When I connect the Sony DCR HC-20 to my laptop, it will not recognize the camcorder. Sony has deprecated the driver for many old camcorder models, including the DCR HC-20. I've tried installing it as a legacy device, but this doesn't work.
Does anyone have a workaround for transferring video files out of these Sony camcorders?
