Here's the picture from my built in macbook webcam. Not amazing quality, but mostly correctly exposed.
This is from a Logitech C920, which was highly recommended by the wirecutter. As you can see the highlights are blown out and I look like I'm fading out of the McFly family photograph.
By using the custom controls app I can have it look a lot better, but it resets every time I restart and doesn't auto adjust for day/night which takes away a lot of the convenience of having a good webcam.
This is from the other side - north facing window so light tends to be flat with few shadows.
What can I do to make the autoexposure on this apparently good camera to function better?
