I am trying to find the best way to automatically concatenate a large number of files that have been recorded with an overlap within them. In the process of 'glueing' the video files together, to get a smooth playback, I need to strip 5 frames from the end (or from the beginning) of each clip.
This post suggests a few ways of concatenating the files, and this post on processing a timelapse video has an excellent advise on using filters for truncating media. But I am wondering whether I could avoid re-encoding at all? All files are in the same format.
The ideal answer would include an ffmpeg command.
Thank you in advance!
