I'm editing a video in ShotCut, and it was stored in a AVCHD folder. I opened each MTS file and paste them next to each other.

The problem is that there is like one second delay between each file. My guess is that I lost the information contained in the AVCHD archive, like the CPI file, and that they help synchronising the files together.

I've looked through the internet for three hours and found no solution to open the whole AVCHD instead of the MTS files seperately. Plus, Windows seems to see the AVCHD as a folder and not as a file like in OS X.

It doesn't particularly interest me to open the archive itself, I just want the delay between the MTS files to disappear. It makes synchronising with the sound that I recorded seperately.
