comment Is there any relation between a Exposure & Flicker
Can you provide more detail on exactly what is flickering for you, and under what circumstances? The techniques to control different kinds of flicker (e.g. fluorescent lights, CRTs) depend heavily on what you're experiencing flicker with.

comment Things to do during shoot to prevent loss of quality during extreme colour grading in post?
Ahh. To answer that part of your question, I went back and added a paragraph on what I think your camera is doing with x.v.YCC (x.v. Color).

Trying out a new tagging approach... Still not sure it's right yet.

revised I'm not happy with Final Cut Pro (X). What are my options?
Added specific editing software, since my answer may not have been in-depth enough for the uninitiated. Also added a date anchor, because software changes fast.

comment How can I make an actor cry?
I'd like to suggest you edit your question to address a specific problem you've been faced with, instead of a theoretical what-if. Your talent are willing collaborators, and if you're trying to "make them cry", then you're mistakenly treating them like props. Did you try communicating with them to show them why you were after a certain performance? How did that go? My second suggestion is to read Judith Weston's "Directing Actors", which even has a section dedicated to dealing with child actors, who may not understand your motivations as well as a trained adult.
