I sometimes (like now) need to process the audio of a lot of mpeg videos (500 in this case). In this case I need to delete one of the 2 audio channels (or convert it to mono).

I use Goldwave which can batch process audio files but it can't edit the audio in a video file and then save it in the video format.

Any suggestions?

This is certainly possible. Some more information is required to provide an exact answer. What is your OS? Can you provide some details on a typical input file? What exactly do you want to do to the audio? Which channel do you want to delete? Is this a stereo input? Do you want to simply silence a channel or duplicate one channel into both channels, or downmix stereo into mono? Now you can see why detailed questions get answers quickly. –  LordNeckbeard Dec 18 '13 at 7:38
