With FFMPEG (on Ubuntu linux pc) I am trying to draw the original timecode from DV avi file (captured from miniDV cassette with EDIUS 4 and 5 in Windows) to an output mp4 file.

For my script I need the original timecode, recorded from the camera, not the presentation timecode which starts from 0.

I don't need EDIUS to draw the timecode onto the file but maybe it will be a possible solution to set the timecode in separate file during the capturing from miniDV cassette from where I could get the first frame.

It's difficult to get this timecode with ffmpeg only.

Here is my communication with ffmpeg-user maillist.
